Itinerary summary

This tour includes visiting various important touristic sites in Kampala - Capital City of Uganda. This African city has a good reputation, offering visitors cultural and historical highlights, good restaurants and a bit of vibrant nightlife.

PLACES TO VISIT:

NAMIREMBE AND RUBAGA CATHEDRALS. They reflect the history of Protestant and Catholic presence which dates way back 120 years ago.

-KABAKAS LAKE. It is a manmade lake, initiated by King Mwanga of Buganda to connect to Lake Victoria as an escape route in case of war. But he died before the project was complete.

-VISIT THE UGANDA MEUSEUM

*LUNCH AT 1.00 at Nommo Gallery to taste Ugandan cuisine….

2.00 PM VISIT BAHAI TEMPLE and then continue to NAMUGONGO MARTYRS SHRINE the resting place for the remains of Uganda Martyrs burnt in 1886 on the order of King Mwanga for their Christian beliefs. At these Shrines celebrations are held on 3^rd June every year, Martyrs day.

-Return to your hotel at 5.00 pm.
